ABOUT US

Clay Cross Angling Association took on the fishing rights of Meadow Farm Pond in Clay Cross in late 1978. This is a 2.1 acre pond constructed after the site was open cast for coal and lined to prevent the loss of water. At the time this was the sole water run by the Association.

In 1993 the Association took on the fishing rights of the 4.8 acre Wingerworth Lido. The water had been allowed to deteriorate after the previous tenants left.

In 2008 we added the 0.8 acre Wall Pond to our list of fisheries on our membership book.
